IB MarKs?!?

Question

So I was wondering, I heard that each year the ib mark is worth more or less percentage wise. So this year 2008,

what is a 4 and 5 out of 7 worth?

I don't think it should even be looked at percentage wise.

You COULD do it mathematically and simply get:

4 - 57%

5 - 71%

But that's not how they should be looked at at all. I got a 5 on both of mine ( Chemistry and Islamic History - both SL), and I'm perfectly happy with that, and a 4 isn't a bad score either.

What did you take, and are you a diploma candidate or are you just taking IB classes?

They do no equal a real percentage, but you can estimate. I do know that even a 0 out of 7 is above a 60%.  That is what I was told.  I would try to check with www.ibo.org
