IB extended essay?

i was just wondering if anyone knew if you have to take the class inorder to do an extended essay on it. i am wanting to do my extended essay in psychology but i didnt take it as a class. is that ok?

Depends on your school. Some schools, well their IB coordinators really, will allow it but others won't. I think the technical rule is that it is really not recommended. But say you have an IB Psychology teacher at your school, then you may be able to. Talk to your IB coordinator and he/she can let you know what the policy is at your school =]
