Hey there.I'm shifting from another board of education to International Baccalaureate.

I had some basic questions.

The school i'm going to is from class 9-12

for completing each class you get 80 credits(as in for four grades you get 320 credits)

And you need 320 credits to get your high school diploma.

I'm joining there in class 11.

Where will i get the credits for the two classes i missed?

Or Will i take two years in each class(11 and 12th)

To get my IB diploma

and to get 320 credits for it?

BEST answer gets full points i promise

just help okay?

  1. In general IB is only considered to be 11th and 12th grade in terms of the material covered on the exams.

You're going to take classes in 9th and 10th grades so you should have enough credits to graduate. They're not going to disappear when you switch to IB.

For the courses....in the US you take an AP class in 11th grade and the IB class in 12th grade. It's basically 2 years worth of material on the same subject. The exception to that rule is for standard level courses in the sixth area. Those usually only take one year to complete.

Hopefully I haven't totally confused you. Ask again if you're still confused.
