As expected, Vanuatu team’s captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Andrew-Mansale-c44493, won the toss and chose to bat first.
The team however, got off to a worst possible start as both the openers, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lenica-Natapei-c72462, went in the first over failing to trouble the scorer.
Both had no answer to Fiji’s opening bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kitiano-Suliasi-Biudole-Tavo-c71564, who gave his side a perfect start.
Next in line, was the inform http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Simpson-Hopeman-Obed-c90458, who also went for a duck, giving a simple caught and bowled chance to Mohammad Kahn.
It was a terrible beginning, which set the tone for the whole innings.  After that no batsmen could make any sort of meaningful contribution and wickets continued to tumble at regular intervals.
When the last wicket fell, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Vanuatu-c3038 could not even bat their full quota and were bundled out for just 73 in under seventeen overs.
The highest score of the innings came from Kendy Kenneth who made 16 of 14 balls.
It was a smashing bowling performance from the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sakaraia-Ratumuri-Lomani-c88054 and Cakacaka.
The reply from the Fiji side was swift, as both openers, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sekove-Ravoka-c89162, played it easy and mustered a 29-run stand for the first wicket.
Ravoka was the first to go, who was well caught by Mansale off the bowling of Jelany Chilia. He had made 13.
The result of the match was hardly in any doubt and it was just a matter of time.  They reached the target in the 15th over as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Waisake-Tukana-c95863 stroked the winning boundary, leading his side to a convincing victory by six wickets.

The match was an embarrassing loss for Vanuatu, who will look to bounce back in their next outing.
