Under the circumstances do you think that this was the best decision available.....?

I know that I am a bit late with my Q...but can't help it..

It was the right decision under the circumstances and they really had no choice. Safety of people should always be placed above Politics. They couldn&#039;t have a tournament with only half the teams playing and they had left it way too late to change the venue and no-one wanted to travel to Pakistan anyway.

I don&#039;t know if it&#039;ll take place next year either as the schedule is already packed and I&#039;m not sure the problems in Pakistan would have gone away in a year.

Postponding for a year is too lateee.atleast it should have been 4-6months

They had no other choice really. They couldn&#039;t let the tournament go on without half of the teams! I don&#039;t think it was a great decision but looking back at it, the ICC didn&#039;t really have much of a choice except to postpone it. It was too late to shift it and they wouldn&#039;t have wanted to cancel it.

Only it is postponed, but as of now, if it happens Pakistan will be hosting it. I can&#039;t see the rationale behind it. There are slim chances of situation getting any better, enough to allay the fears of the participating countries.

This was the only option ICC had. On one side there was the likes of South Africa etc. withdrawing from the tourney, on the other side there were PCB &amp; BCCI up in arm, and terrorism all around. What else could ICC come up with that is acceptable to all.

However the debate does not end here. And it continues as long as Pakistan remains the host. I can&#039;t be sure in what direction the situation in Pakistan takes a turn if Asif Ali Zardari becomes president. I hope it is not for the worst.
