Nepal Under-19 marked their 5th win after defeating Irish youth with some cut throat 10 runs at the Bready Cricket Club, Magheramason on August 6, 2011.
Irish captain http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nepal-c2965 came out to open the batting innings for their team. The 50 over match was reduced to 46 overs maximum using the D/L method.
They did not take off well as lost their first wicket in the 2nd over at a score of only 5 runs. The man to be dismissed was Khakurel who got caught out at the hands of wicket-keeper Niall Hodgins.

They scored a half century, 35 runs and 38 runs respectively. Nepal managed to score 187 runs in complete 46 overs at the loss of 7 wickets. Ireland was given a target of 188 runs to be achieved at a required run rate of 4.06 runs per over.
The Irish bowlers did a fine job by taking wickets at regular intervals and confining the team to an easy target. each.
Opening duo Adam http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bhavaraju-Avinash-c47993 Karn from Nepal succeeded in providing his team with an early breakthrough by dismissing Berry in the 3rd over. The opener got
bowled out at Karn’s delivery at duck.
The next man in was Andy McBrine who managed to make a humble contribution of 10 runs and got caught out at the hands of the wicket-keeper Airee.
Skipper Dockrell took the entire responsibility to his shoulders and performed really well with both bat and ball. He had taken three Nepalese wickets and also remained to be the top scorer in the Irish batting Innings.
Dockrell scored a half century and supported his team well. The next two batsmen to make a significant contribution were Adam Coughlan and Jason van der Merwe. They scored 48 runs and 29 runs respectively.
Coughlan ran short of only 2 runs from his half century as he got run out at a direct throw. The entire Irish batting line-up was dismissed in 46 overs at a score of 175 runs. The leading wicket-taker from Nepal was Rahul Vishvakarma who took 4 wickets by
giving away just 28 runs in 9 overs.
Nepal Under-19 team defeated the host team and remained triumphant by 10 runs using D/L method.
