The Dutch, who have failed to show colour in the ongoing International Cricket Council (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625) Women’s World Cup Qualifier were aiming to subdue the Irish, however, Ireland who have been a better side in the tournament than Netherlands were on no mood to lose
in front of their opponents.
Netherlands after winning the toss chose to bat first to give their batters a chance to have a smack at the Irish bowlers.

The two batters exhibited impressive form and were looking to give Ireland a befitting time, however, the Irish knew that they just needed to dismiss these two in order to incinerate the Dutch batting line-up which lacks depth and has shown weakness in the
lower-order.
Ireland bounced back in the game when they dismissed Tomlinson who departed after clobbering 34 runs on 72 deliveries.
Meanwhile, skipper Rambaldo stood on the crease, hoping to craft a daunting partnership with the remaining batswomen; nonetheless, she failed and fell after scoring 27 runs.
In the end, the Dutch posted 139 runs on the board in 50 overs, a score which was good enough to be defended by their bowlers.
However, Ireland were just too good on the day as they successfully chased the required target in 32.3 overs for the loss of six wicket.
From Netherlands, Tomlinson once again impressed her fans by grabbing two wickets, while spinner Leonie Bennett bagged three wickets.
