Canada beat Kenya by 3 wickets in the ICC World Cricket League division one, Batting first Kenya were all out for 190 and Canada made it difficult for themselves but got home in final over with 3 wickets in hand.
Canada won the toss and elected to bowl first looking to make use of the bowler friendly conditions. Kenya have not been able to find their feet in the tournament and have been found wanting in the seaming conditions.
Canada got first breakthrough early when Patel was caught plum in front by Bhatti in the 2nd over, Patel scored 2 runs from 4 balls.
Obanda and Obuya put on 23 runs for the 2nd wicket, before Bhatti struck again this time trapping Obanda LBW, Obanda scored 21 runs from 28 balls with 4 fours.
There was a good stand between Obuya and Otieno for the 3rd wicket, the pair added 34 runs but the strike rate was less than ideal, they scored at just over 3 runs per over but still kept wickets intact.
Otieno was caught by Kumar off the bowling of Desai after scoring 4 runs from 31 balls, next man in Odoyo also found it hard to break the shackles and was slow to get going.
Next man to go was Obuya he scored 34 runs from 54 balls with 3 fours, he was out LBW to Cheema.
Kamande followed soon he was run out for just 5 runs, Odoyo and Wesonga then put on a good partnership scoring 72 runs for the 6th wicket, but once again the run rate did not go higher than 3.
The stand was broken when Wesonga was caught by Barnett off the bowling of Baidwan after scoring 33 from 56 balls with 4 boundaries.
While the catch was being taken the batsmen changed ends and Odoyo was LBW the very next ball after scoringb39 from 64 balls with one and a six, his wicket was taken by Baidwan.
Odhiambo did not last very long and was out after scoring just 6 runs from 4 balls, his only scoring shot was a six over midwicket; he was caught by Hansra off the bowling of Cheema.
Kenya finally was all out for 190 on the final ball of the innings.
Canada must have felt that the match was all but in the bag at the halfway mark, the start was not that bad opening pair added 22 runs, first wicket fell when Bastiampillai was caught y Odoyo off the bowling of Luseno after scoring 16 runs from 12 balls with 4 fours.
Next man to go was Patel for 13 runs from 24 balls with 2 fours; he was caught by Obanda off the bowling of Odoyo.
Barnett and Kumar put on 42 for the 3rd wicket; Barnett was dismissed after scoring 26 runs from 52 balls with 2 fours.
Kumar followed on over later after scoring 14 from 40 balls, he was out LBW by Varaiya.
At 74 for 4 Canada looked in a rough spot, and Cheema was also dismissed early making it 81 for 5. Bagai and Surkari then got together to put on 85 runs for the 6th wicket and almost got the team home, the pitch though was still not offering true bounce and scoring rate remained slow throughout, it looked like the pair would guide the team home, but both fell in before getting to the target.
Bagai was caught on the bowling of Luseno for 39 runs from 62 balls, while Surkari was out on 49. Hamsra and Bhatti in the end guided the team home with 4 balls to spare.
