Cricket Bulletin - Round up of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World Cricket League Division Five - Part 2 - 19th February 2012
Argentina vs. Bahrain:
After a poor start to the tournament where they were bowled out for 49, Bahrain bounced back and defeated Argentina by 65 runs at the Kallang Ground, February 19, 2012.
After being asked to bat first, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bahrain-c2847 opener Adnan Butt blazed his way to 49 off 33 balls, which included four sixes.
Following his departure, the innings slowed down considerably, as the Argentinean bowlers kept on picking wickets at regular intervals. A 55-run partnership between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adil-Hanif-c42002 (39) and Azeem ul Haq(27) gave Bahrain much-needed stability. Their position was
further helped by an unbeaten innings of 46 runs off 44 balls by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Tahir-Dar-c92592, which helped Bahrain post a respectable 213 in 48 overs. At one point they were struggling at 152 for 8.
Argentina started impressively but then lost way, and none of their batsmen could make any substantial contributions. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Christopher-Alroy-Martin-c50714 Siri’s knock of 46 runs was the outstanding performance that provided some resistance against the Bahraini bowling, but it was not
enough, as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Argentina-c2841 was bowled out for 148.
Dar, for his fine bowling performance, where he grabbed 6 wickets for 18 in 9 overs, was declared as the Player of the Match.
