Kenya won the toss and chose to bat first. The Afghan bowlers in the last match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ireland-c751 proved that they could make use of any assistance from the pitch and got two quick wickets.
Obanda was the first one to go with the total score at 14. He was caught behind while trying to play a flashy drive off Shapoor Zadran as he left the crease after scoring just 3 runs from 10 balls.
Otieno was the next to go as he was dismissed for naught after being trapped leg before by Zadran for his second wicket in the over.
Obuya joined Ouma at the crease and the pair started the rebuilding process for the Kenyan side. The ball was moving around so the pair decided to buckle down and save their wickets.
There were no big shots as the Afghan bowlers continued to maintain a good line and length. The pair could not make use of the field restrictions and continued to score at more than 3 runs per over.
The partnership was finally broken in the 21st over when Ouma was caught behind off Hassan after scoring 40 from 70 balls with 5 lovely boundaries.

Meanwhile, Shenwari continued to hold the innings together from the other end. While wickets kept tumbling at the other, Mangal was dismissed for just 3 runs from 7 balls after he was caught behind on the bowling off Ngoche. Sadiq was run out without facing a single delivery.
