The 41-year-old Fuinaomo struck at his first delivery and took out opener Ravoka, who was given leg-before-wicket on a duck.

Tavo was the next man to go back. He was caught out by Uala Kaisara at 4th delivery of the 6th over, after having faced seven deliveries without scoring.

This dismissal left Fijian side at a meagre total of 75/6. Sean cotter from the Samoan side struck in and took out promising looking Kida at a total of 22 runs.
This ended the first innings at the humble total of 125 runs at the loss of 8 wickets, with Mariner being the most prominent bowler, having taken 3 Fijian wickets.
The Samoans will have to score 126 with a run rate of 6.25 runs per over, in order to bag a win against Fiji.
