ICC World Cup, 2011: Junaid Khan feels positive about his inclusion

Junaid Khan, the uncapped left-arm quick bowler, has said that he feels positive about the opportunity to represent Pakistan in the upcoming ICC World Cup, 2011.
“I’ll treat it as just another game of cricket. I've represented my country at junior levels and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 A, so I know what the responsibility of playing for your country is like. I don't think I'll have any nerves and I'm confident I can handle the situation,”
the rookie pace bowler said in an interview.
Khan replaced Sohail Tanvir who was declared unfit for the upcoming global tournament by the Pakistan Cricket Board’s medical panel.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Khan-c71319 has performed exceedingly well in the domestic circuit, scalping 167 wickets at an impressive average of 21. In addition, the left-arm seamer has grabbed 37 wickets, averaging 28 in 27 List A games.
“I've been working so hard over the last couple of seasons and I feel that I have consistently improved as a bowler. I've also been working hard on my batting and I feel that my call-up for the World Cup is warranted as I have done consistently well at all
levels for Pakistan,” Khan declared.
Khan impressed selectors with his pace and swing during a recent ‘A’ One Day International series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758. He consistently troubled the opposition batsmen with his control and ability to move the ball in both directions, picking
up 5 wickets in 3 matches.

“It would be a blast to bowl at [Sachin] Tendulkar and get him out. It is an ambition for me,” the youngster yearned.
Cricket’s showpiece event will be a huge opportunity for the young pacer to showcase his talent to the world.  After having lost two of its star bowlers, Muhammad Aamer and Mohammad Asif, Pakistan will be pinning their hopes on Khan to shine in the mega
event.
He joins fast bowlers Shoaib Akhtar, Wahab Riaz and Umar Gul in the bowling line up.
