ICC World Cup 2011- http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kenya-c752-players to watch out

The ICC Cricket World Cup has raised its curtain with an opening match between two subcontinent giants http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747. The cricket fans around the world were entertained by Virender Sehwag’s remarkable century.
Meanwhile, New Zealand will take on Kenya in their opening game at Chepauk Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The wicket at the ground is pretty flat, so bowlers will have their work cut out, and batsmen will feast heavily.
However, we will take a preview of some top-notch players, who would love to catalogue their names on the honours board of World Cups.
Alex Obanda
Alex Obanda, who is a natural stroke player, will probably open the innings for Kenya. Obanda is an exciting stroke-maker and has a complete array of shot-play to choose from. The dashing opener is well capable of providing his team with electrifying starts.
Obanda possesses a superb batting record and it requires a greater sheen, considering he has played for a below-par Kenyan side. In 37 matches, the dashing right-hander has amassed 1094 runs at an impressive average of 34, including a best score of 96.
The Kenyan opener is yet to score a ton at the international level; however, a struggling Kiwi attack might provide him with the opportunity to do just that.
Steve Tikolo
Steve Tikolo, the Kenyan veteran, will have this mega event as his swansong. Tikolo has been an excellent all-rounder for his team, as he has displayed some top performances for them at crucial stages, and is the leading run-scorer for his team.
In 129 ODIs, Steve has done reasonably well, amassing 3377 runs at an impressive average of 30, including three centuries. In addition, he has grabbed 93 wickets at 32, recording a best of 4 for 41.
Tikolo would love to perform in his last tournament for his team, and if he leaves a lasting impression, Kenya will definitely do well in cricket’s extravaganza.
Jacob Oram
No one will doubt Jacob Oram’s all-round talent, as he has the ability to hammer any bowling attack in the world and can trouble any willower with his gritty medium pace bowling.
In recent times, Oram has suffered several injuries and that has cost him, his form and confidence. However, he still remains a vital cog in the New Zealand squad and a superb all-round performance will boost the morale of the left-hander and for that matter
his team.
Oram has to chip in with a few wickets in the middle overs, and has to add some quick runs in order to earn back his lost confidence.
Brendan McCullum
Brendon McCullum plays with a lot of authority and courage, as he has a ‘no fear’ tag on his head. Basically he is a destroyer and loves to take on the very best in the world.
The Kiwi's will hope that their opening batsmen fire in the first game to gain confidence and momentum just before facing the top teams. Brendon’s sparkling start at top of the order will provide his team a massive boost, as their struggling middle-order
will gain momentum from it.
Furthermore, he is one of the best wicket-keeper going around. His neat glove work is aided by immaculate foot-work behind the stumps and so far, he has collected 206 catches and 13 stumpings.
