ICC World Cup 2011: Shantakumaran Sreesanth heartbroken after being overlooked
Indian fast bowler Shantakumaran Sreesanth has said that the decision of selectors to ignore him for the 15-member final World Cup squad has left him heartbroken.
The merciful Indian pacer used the social networking site Twitter to express his feelings of dejection over the decision of Krishnamachari Srikkanth-headed selection panel of Board of Control for Cricket in India.
“I am so heart broken... but it's lack of faith that makes people afraid of meeting challenges, and I believe in myself. Jai mata di,” tweeted Sreesanth on Monday from Cape Town, South Africa as he is touring the Rainbow nation with the
national team in their last outing ahead of the ICC World Cup 2011.
The 27-year-old right-arm medium pacer from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kerala-c803 was responding to messages from his Twitter fans. “Thanks for all your support... I will keep giving my very best to the game no matter how small my chances are... I truly believe in God.
With the realization of one's own potential and self-confidence in one's ability, one can build a better world,” he said.
Sreesanth wished his team best of luck for their World Cup campaign and was confident that India will win the quadrennial tournament which they will co-host with Bangladesh and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758.
Sreesanth also said that he was really anxious to win the esteemed event for his country, “Was really looking forward to winning it... maybe next one.”
The BCCI selection committee met in Chennai on Monday, 17 January, 2011 to announce the 15-member squad for the World Cup. Besides the chief selector http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Krishnamachari-Srikkanth-c71750, Narendra Hirwani and Surendra Bhave were also present at the
