ICC anti-corruption clears Australian players – Cricket News Update
International Cricket Council's Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) has cleared the names of Australian cricketers who were alleged of match-fixing during the ongoing spot-fixing trial, claiming that they have no evidence over their involvement.
The sting-operation carried out last year by the now defunct News of the World tabloid, resulted in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mazhar-c75448 Majeed came out with evidence regarding several cricketers, rocking the Cricketing World.
Majeed, who offered bribes to the Men In Green players, also claimed to have access to many International stars, including Indian duo, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RT-Ponting-c2377 and retired pacer, Nathan Bracken.
Since then, the Kangaroo contingent has threatened to take legal action, with Cricket http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 backing the players' stance, and slammed the allegations as “outlandish”.
"However, we are aware that some fairly outlandish claims have been made by a person of fairly dubious repute but we’re not aware of any credible evidence that has been put to the ICC or anybody else," CA spokesman Peter Young earlier said.
Meanwhile, the ICC's Anti-Corruption bureau, which is led by Alan Peacock, a former http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Scotland-c756 Yard Police Officer, has now discredited the claims made by Majeed and cleared the Kangaroo duo of any wrong doing.
"Presumably the brackets he (Majeed) is talking about is what we call session betting. That involved betting on the runs and wickets scored within a single session of play or a specific number of overs," he said.

In the aftermath, many other player names also came out; however, the Aussies players denied any links with the agent, claiming they have never heard of him.
