International Cricket Council (ICC) has extended its deadline on the request of Pakistan to name their preliminary squad for next year’s ICC cricket world cup
until 5 January.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 Cricket Board source told that PCB  requested ICC to extend its deadline from December 19 to January 5, until the final decision for the three Pakistani
players who were alleged for spot-fixing comes.

"The ICC has given until January 5 to announce our squad," a PCB official said.
Earlier, former Test captain Salman Butt and pace bowlers Mohammad Aamir and Mohammad Asif have already been suspended on grounds of the allegation of deliberately
throwing no-balls in the fourth test against England at Lord’s.
On Wednesday, the integrity committee of the PCB said that more time is required for consideration relating to the clearance of alleged players. The selection
committee met for consecutive days earlier this week to finalise the squad but being unsure of the availability of some players, the board asked for more time. PCB officials have confirmed that the board is waiting to get clearance for former captain Shoaib
Malik and wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal.
All other cricket teams taking part in World Cup 2011 are supposed to submit the names of 30 member’s Squad by the set time of December 19.

have been provisionally suspended over "spot-fixing" charges since then. They will appear before ICC anti-Corruption by next month in Doha, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Qatar-c2986.

Riaz and Imran Farhat.
Salman Butt filed a “comprehensive and hard-hitting response” to allegations of spot-fixing following an International Cricket Council (ICC) hearing, said his
lawyer on Tuesday wihle ICC has rejected Salman Butt’s reply on the accusation and asked him to file a fresh reply by today.
