  1. If you are doing lessons then you should get a sertain type for the jumps you do but if you are just doing normal skating hren you could get any really i suppose :)

  2. I am not sure about where to find ice skating shoes, maybe Academy. I guess you can type in ice skating shoes in the box provided on the website Google and maybe it will give you some helpful information on ice skating shoes. :)>-

  3. What type of skating are you looking into doing? I wouldn't recommend speed skates unless you plan on doing speed skating, and most rinks won't allow speed skates on the ice during public sessions. If you are looking into just regular skating figure skates are probably the way to go. I'd suggest a Riedell Blue Ribbon skates or a Riedell Bronze Medallion skate. If you are looking more for a hockey skate (which is typically used for more aggressive skating or playing hockey) then you can go ahead with a hockey skate. I'd suggest being sized at your local pro shop, and your local pro shop should also be helpful in selecting the best skates for you. Good luck and happy skating!

  4. try jackson soft techs. they're really comfortable and alot of the kids i teach use them. You can break into them easily and they aren't truely ment for jumping. Also talk to whoever you will be buying your skates from. they should be able to help.

  5. Well, what type of skating do you see yourself doing in a few years?

Generally speaking, the best skates to start with are figure skates, because they have the toe pick, and they're the easiest to use. However, since you're doing just plain ol' public skating, maybe you want to consider some recreational skates?? They're a lot less expensive than figure and hockey skates.

If you want to try out hockey skates (what i use) go to your local rinks proshop and just try some one. Generally speaking hockey skates take a while to break in, but the wait to break them in isn't that bad. Hockey skates are going to have a stiffer boot.

The nike bauer skates are not speed skates, they're hockey skates. I wear nike bauers, and I don't suggest them to you unless you have a normal width or thin foot.

You could try hockeymonkey.com if you're going to get hockey skates.

    Have fun!

  6. I wear Harlick's. If you live in the Bay Area, go to Harlick's.

  7. you should get ridel figure skates. they are the best. they are about 200$

i have them they work really well. if u r looking for somthing cheaper, go to a sports store.

  8. ebay is the place to look

  9. type in skate attack in google and it should bring you up some ice skating shop which also sells roller blades quite a couple through england hope it helps you.
