ICT systems within pollution,energy useage,waste reduction and public transport?

Hi for my AS level for one piece of coursework/exam, we've been asked to research pretty pathetic things such as what i have listed in the topic question, i've been trying to find out about ICT used within the following:

Pollution

Waste Reduction

refuse collection

Conservation

Public transport

Energy useage

If anyone knows what each of the areas in list are affected by ict systems. please let me know it will be most appreciated.

Information & Communications Technology (ICT)  Sounds like they are asking how computers are used in each of the areas listed.  I know here in California, Public Transport, Buses, trains, (etc.) schedules are set up by computers.  According to TV shows I've seen Refuse Collection schedules are on computers and they know where every truck is and which landfills they go to.  If you have ever been to an electrical plant, they have computers all over the place monitoring energy flow and amounts.

Just look up each field and and read through the things they do and you will find that computers are definitely  used in all those areas.

is this a test I do not know what ict is but I do know what cosses thes stuff.

I think that they all are a type of energy usig and sustnibility so I think that u should reserch the website and see what u finde.
