  1. You are never to old to start skating. I suggest that you do some public sessions before you start lessons. That way you get the feel of being on the ice.

  2. It doesn't matter how old you are, you can start skating whenever you want. First, you could always skate by the wall so you won't fall. When you get used to the ice just try to skate nice and smooth, don't think about anything else but skating. If you feel you're going to fall just stand up straight and balance yourself. When you're really used to it try to skate out in the middle and try doing some simple tricks like putting one foot up just a few inches above the ice. That was the first trick I learned and whenever I felt I was going to fall I just put my foot down and nothing happened. The second trick to learn would probably be a simple spin. Those two tricks are nice and simple and I'm sure you'll be skating like a pro in no time.

  3. well you wont know untilk you try it right so i say go for it. its fun at first it might seem a little hard but you get the hang of it

  4. i dont kno if you will be able to compete, but you should definetly try! skating is so much fun, and you sound like you would be good at it! good luck :)

  5. You can certainly begin to skate and compete. You probably won't be an Olympic figure skater, but they have all levels of competitions for figure skaters. I would go ahead and begin taking group lessons at your local rink! Good luck!
