A few months ago we made the mistake of downloading ie 7.Ever since then everything has changed.I looked alot online to fix the problems with no luck and I was hoping you could help.The favorites tab is missing and is replaced with a bookmark one(we use Yahoo as our homepage).I tried reinstalling and actually that is the only thing we can delete and redownload with no changes.I tried a system restore but it will not allow it.I tried going into the internet connections and it won't do anything when I click on it.All the way at the top of the toolbar where it's blue is blank and so is the very bottom except for showing an e.We use to have something pop up when we would download it,it showed up underneath the toolbar.The name of it I cannot remember.I think it was for downloads.From time to time I hear it but nothing shows.I ran virus software and nothing came up.We got a new windows search that shows the history but no way of deleting it.There are a few tabs missing from the toolbar,general or tools.When we try to download anything we get a thank you page telling what to do in order to download it.Usually a little window appears at the top left corner but within a few seconds disappears.If you could offer any help we would appreciate.
