My sister's meeting is coming up and she does not want to go.

She said they always pick out what she does wrong. She's really shy and won't speak up. Does she have to go? Last time they called her out of class.

  1. i have the same problem last time i cried at my IEP meeting  my teacher was like .. "you need to speak up" im like i cant speak up because you guys are saying bad things about me she has to go because its her IEP

  2. Nope. I'm not sure what grade she's in...... but for mine, if I didn't want to go, I had the choice. (I'm in high school). Tell her to speak up to your parents or something..... I'm pretty sure she has the choice of whether she wants to go or not, but I could be wrong depending on the strictness of the school.

  3. well she should go it's about her life

  4. No, she has a choice. She can voice her opinons and concerns to her couselor or special education teacher or even your parents. Remind her that this group of individuals are there to help her, but they still need to respect her.
