  1. yes. that's correct

  2. Yes, 8oz is one cup.  However, there are some things that can not be measured in a cup but must be weighed.  If the recipie does say one cup of velveeta, use one cup, however if it said 8 oz of velveeta weigh it.

    Hope that helps.

  3. 8oz. of liquid is one fluid cup.  8oz. dry cheese isn't necessarily 1 measuring cup.  You can't have too much cheese in your tetrazinni so don't worry about it.

  4. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out...and if you freak out this much about it, it probably won't be that perfect. Sorry.

  5. Yes

  6. Yes....

    3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon

    4 tablespoons = 1/4 cup

    5 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon = 1/3 cup

    8 tablespoons = 1/2 cup

    12 tablespoons = 3/4 cup

    16 tablespoons = 1 cup (8 ounces)

    2 cups = 1 pint (16 ounces)

    4 cups (2 pints) = 1 quart (32 ounces)

    8 cups (4 pints) = 1/2 gallon (64 ounces)

    4 quarts = 1 gallon (128 ounces)

  7. Liquids are measured by volume - eight ounces of liquid is one cup.  Solids are measured by weight - sixteen ounces of a solid is one pound.

  8. You're mixing up your weights and volumes. 4 ounces by weight is 1/4lb. 4 ounces by volume is 1/2 cup. 1/4 lb can be more or less than 1/2 cup depending on the weight to volume ratio of the substance. 1 cup of Velveeta is a volume measurement, it has nothing to do with the weight.

  9. yeah that is right! hope your casserole comes out right!
