I KNOW YOU SPELL IT AMBRE, AND RENOUNCE THE COLOR LIKE THAT, BUT WHAT ABOUT A NAME, WOULD I JUST SAY IT LIKE I WOULD IN ENGLISH?

  1. It's a matter of taste. You can either give your name in its French form, Ambre, or you can use the original English form, Amber.

My name is Lawrence, and when I speak with Frenchmen I usually introduce myself as Laurent. But in writing I am Lawrence; officially that would be my name in France since it's the name on my passport.
