  1. No a report is just a report. First, they will see if what's being reported even sounds like a report of a crime. (We once had a man report another for "Unneighborly Conduct.")  If it sounds like something they need to investigate, the will generally, at some point, talk to you. Of course, that's if they can find you. If someone told you they made a report about you, and you know it's nothing or silly, don't worry about it. People report all kinds of things, including things that might be civil wrongs, but not criminal. Now, if they do come to talk to you, they do not have to tell you who made the report or what it said. If it comes to a charge, you may find out if you go to trial.  


  2. NO. In GA, if someone files a report about you, you have to go to a pre hearing where the judge will hear both sides of the story and determine if you really committed a crime or not before any charges can be filed against you.
