  1. yes you can have a little in moderation

    theres Skinny Cow ice cream

it has less fat, and still has calcium

  2. Tofutti fudge pops are good - fat free and 30 cals, I like mixing up some sugar (or splenda) with about 2 tbsp ff cream cheese and 1/2 tbsp of pure fruit jam, then spreading it on an all-bran bar.

  3. Fruit smoothies (fruit, low-fat yogurt, a little low-fat milk, and ice) are delicious and nutritious. I've also started baking my own cookies using healthy ingredients like oats and blueberries. You can cut down on the sugar or use Splenda (I don't like artificial sweeteners).

  4. Fruit Kabob

    3 bananas, thick slices

2 Bartlett pears, sliced into thick wedges

2 granny smith apples, sliced into thick wedges

2 peaches, sliced into thick wedges

    1 fresh pineapple cubed

    Marinade:

    1 cup grapefruit juice

    1/2 cup honey

    3/4 teaspoon chopped fresh mint

Combine juice, honey, and mint. Marinate fruit for at least 30 minutes. Place fruit on skewer, alternating types. Grill or broil for 6-8 minutes. Baste with marinade as needed.

Notes: The family has fun assembling. Little ones will need help cutting. Other juices can be substituted for marinade and the mint left out.

  5. I always just have a kiss, just one to satisfy my sweet tooth.  and yes, if you don't give in to something sweet every once in a while, you'll totally go off your diet and binge completely, eating half a pie.

I also like to make my own popsicles.  I got popsicle molds at Bed Bath and Beyond and blended up pears and strawberries and froze them.  It's really easy to do and you can probably look up a great recipe on marth stewart's website or Taste of Home's website.  Good luck!

  6. Yes, just depends on what you put in it. I really think it's best to make your desserts homemade, this way you will know exactly what is in it,and you can also replace unhealthy ingredients with a healthier option. Like for instance some desserts use shortening, that's not healthy in the least, you would be better off replacing that with whole butter instead (hard to believe,I know.)

You can make fruits salads, reduced sugar pies, a cake with dark chocolate(much better for you) and fruit smoothies, with all kinds of good fruits, and maybe on occasions add a little no sugar added ice cream.

  7. Fruit with low fat yoghurt! Fabulous.

  8. thin people still eat desserts u just have to eat in moderation. if u deprive urself u will crave it so it u want to eat a brownie eat one, but don't go over board.

sorry i the only healthy dessert i can think of is some low calorie pudding.

  9. Don't go on a diet, simply strive to eat healthy the majority of the time and MOVE.   But don't restrict anything completely from your eating if you want it.  If you need chocolate just have it in moderation---save it for one night a week or something.  So have dessert, but in moderation.
