IF YOUUU LIVE IN CONNECTiCUT!?

okay. so i live in connecticut. and so does my cousin. she tells me that all high schools in our state require kids to read to books over the summer. but im going to be a freshman! is this true? and can u tell me which high school you go to so that i can see if its mine. THANKS!!!!

I live in ohio and we arent required to do anything during the summer

although i do read for the enjoyment :] lol

I live in NY and my kids are required to do summer reading.  They generally get their lists at the end of the previous school year.  Considering you are going to be a freshman, if it wasn't given to you as you concluded eighth grade or mailed to you shortly thereafter, perhaps you don't have to do any until next year?  Either way, relax.  Call your public library - they should know and usually have copies of the list.  Check out the following link http://www.sde.ct.gov/sde/cwp/view.asp?a...

Lastly, most schools give you about a week after school starts to inquire about summer reading.  If its due on the first day, apologize, get the list and get reading!!

i live in CT umm yeah we have to read books but its not like a set list that we need to unless your going into an honors or AP class, but at our school you have to read atleast 2 because you do book reports on them, but if you had to do that you would know by now!

I live in Litchfield and Goshen during the summer (summer house), so I don't live there permanently but my friends live in Connecticut, and they got a list. Go to your high school's website, usually it will have the required summer reading listen on it. Ask your friends if they know what to do. I know that I had summer reading as a freshman (I live in Massachusetts) and most schools do give summer reading.

I don't live in Connecticut, but I got a letter in the mail with a list of all the books I need to read.

There were 2 required ones, and lots of other suggested ones.

I live in NJ, and that's pretty near, so maybe it works the same way ?
