IF tomorrow there was no government authority?

The system bankrupkts no more cops..government authority of any kind..IRS, NSA, none of it...WOULD the american working class be capable of self-government or would we turn on each other like dogs?

it would be dicey; with no monetary system, bartering would take it's place, and thus a new social order would be necessary.

what you are suggesting amounts to anarchy. Anarchy is the best form of government in the beginning and at the end, but in between it will lead us straight to chaos and h**l.

Man individually has to grow, his ego and desires have to be in full control, ie. they will serve only the Divine Will. Only in these conditions can anarchy function.

I think that some people that are not in government could do a better job that the elected one. as they are the ones that are on the front line so to speak every day, so i would say that they would be more than capable to self govern

You don't have to look far to get a preview of what would happen.  Look back at Katrina videos and news articles about what was going on in New Orleans at the Superdome, the convention center and in town after dark.  I was a case manager for a number of these people.  I cannot describe the horrors they endured.  The police had no communication in the field, no word about their own families, and there were no cell phones, as the towers were down. Many voluntarily resigned after eating food from stores to stay alive, with no compassion from the press, and others died from gunshot wounds to the head, when they realized their loved ones did not make it.  No movie I had ever seen would have depict what went on in that first week post-Katrina. There were 22 physician suicides alone the first year in Louisiana post-Katrina. Turn on others like dogs??? People in the Superdome actually were so afraid of the gangs and what was going on in the dark there that they urinated on the floor to stay with their cots...afraid to go to the bathroom.  Watch the Postman (kevin cosner) again...That's all I can say.
