IF you were an employee of an internet company that has bad leadership, would you?

Why not become the leader within that company? Leadership is not about position or job title, it is influence. Lead up, across and down.

It has been my experience that companies stink from the HEAD down. Middle and lower level problems can be fixed. But if problem originates at top it will not get fixed due to EGO. I would move along and quickly. BEEN THERE many times - all you do is get smelly - after all you were part of the losing team - what bad habits/karma will you bring to my company???? Get out clean and fresh.

You have to move because of the bad leadership if that makes you unhappy or compromises the company's future. If not, why take the risk?

The financial downturn has nothing to do with you jumping ship. On the contrary, it would be easier to get another job before that happens.

It is very unlikely that bad leadership improves but not impossible.
