  1. It all depends. Your Iguana is still a baby right? What color changes are you seeing? If he is turning a darker green it maybe due to stress or being frightened. Leave him alone a for a while and see if he returns to a bright green. Now if he is turning dark and staying that way there maybe a real problem. He could be to cold what are your temps? Then again he could be sick and you would need to see the vet. Is he eating and p**p ok everyday?? Are you misting his cage a couple times a day?? Do you give him a nice warm soak once a day or every other day?

  2. Here is a helpful website on iguana color changes: http://www.greenigsociety.org/colors.htm

  3. Well if a male iguana develops orange tones on its skin it means its in breeding season and you should watch out because some green igs can turn seriously nasty in breeding season

  4. When a Iguana color it can be one of two things either you have a male in breeding season or you have a male who has reached it's maturing age. Sometimes iguanas keep whatever color it turns. You can partial tell what area your Iguana come from by the color it changes. Try a Herp site to find what your looking for just google Iguana care sheet and you'll find exactly what your looking for.

    PS

Don't believe the guy who said he's a Herp he's the biggest liar I ever seen on here. He's stupid because Iguanas don't not have the ability to change their colors to match their surroundings.

Hope this helps!!! and watch out for people who try to lie for best answer.

  5. When he changes his color he is just trying to blend in to his surroundings their is nothing at all to worried about.
