  1. I have an iHome too, and the same thing happened to me. Chances are, somehow the iPod connector on the iHome was damaged and is unable to connect to the iPod. If an iPod was "connected", instead of switching to auxiliary in, it would show iPod.

There is no place that I know of that repairs iHome units, but there is another method you can use to play audio from the iPod (or any other device with a headphone jack):

Buy a 3.5mm audio cable, making sure both ends are male (such as this: http://www.worldofcables.com/store/viewI... ). Plug one end into the iPod and one end into the AUX in of the iHome in the back. Press the iPod/Aux button and switch it to AUX mode.

Hope this helps and good luck!

  2. Ah, mine did that too.  I threw it away.  Sorry.

  3. That's happened to me before. That means that your iHome doesn't recognize your iPod. So the most likely possibility is that the connector on your iHome is broken. And if that's the case, you'll have to buy a new one. Sorry.

  4. d**n that sucks

  5. call customer support or ask a friend if he knows alot about electronics
