IHow do I prevent my real name from appear on a Yahoo group?

I want to join a Yahoo discussion board and received an invitation. I created a new email address that does not reflect my real name but the best I can tell it still shows my real name. How can I prevent my real name from appearing on the Yahoo discussion board? I sent an email to a friend from the new email and all they saw was the email address.

Try this:Click options above your mail box to the right.  Scroll down and click General preferences.  Make your changes click save at the bottom.
