Question:

IL LINK card questions?

I have a LINK (food stamp) card in IL. I was wondering if I am able to use manufacturers' coupons in conjunction with the card at the grocery store. I am just looking for any ways to save money lately, as food prices are on the rise. Thanks in advance!

(I am not looking for people to criticize me about having food stamps, nor do I feel the need to justify my situation in any way)

BTW, I know the category where I put this question might not be completely appropriate, but I thought I could get the best answers here.

  1. My understanding is that you can-I just asked a co-worker. Worse case scenario, take them up there and try - all the cashier can say is no.   I am glad you don't feel the need to justify yourself because it's no ones business and people are too quick to criticize not knowing anyone's situation.

  2. i dont see why not. but you might just want to ask you caseworker or someone that works in the office just to make sure!
