  1. my opion?? pretty big... only 13 and 5'1

  2. d**n you are fully develop, are you like a lil bit fat, no offend

  3. Ok, first off, do NOT listen to those people who said those hurtful things.  They are wrong, and anyone who reads this, please report them for being crude and inconsiderate.  Secondly,  everyone is built differently, bigger bones and whatnot.  Also if you are muscular, muscle weighs more than fat.

Ultimately however, you are at an age where everyone is at a different stage of development.  If you are 5'1", curvy and more filled out (which isn't bad, most 13 year olds WANT to look older and envy those with a bigger cup size) you are obviously going to weigh more than a 5'1" popsicle stick with no chest, no butt, and is not very far into puberty.

Your doctor, your school nurse, and your parents are better people to get advice from, though, because people online do not know all of the details (diet, lifestyle, genetics) that would be contributing factors to someone's size.  If you feel self concious or unhappy with yourself, try talking to someone you trust (a friend, a parent, a relative, school guidance counsellor etc.)

  4. The doctor is using a number called the body mass index (BMI).  It is calculated by dividing your weight (in kg) by your height squared (in meters).  A normal BMI is 20-25.  A BMI under 20 is considered underweight, a BMI between 25 and 30 is considered overweight, and a BMI over 30 is considered obese.  Your BMI is roughly 33.  Your doctor is recommending a weight of 130-135 because it results in a BMI of 30, which, while still in the "overweight" category, may be reasonable if you're expected to get taller.

I think one of the other people made mention of body image and "curves", etc.  While that's all true, I think it's a separate issue.  I would definitely advocate trying to build a healthy body image.  However, staying a healthy weight (as measured by BMI) is important as a health measure.
