  1. well what did your boyfriend do?? try doing something similar--unless it's an oral treatment

  2. well you find the money and you call 911 emergency vet. Can be alot of things and the only one to tell you the real problem is your very knowledgeable vet who has a degree in medical going on's. if you love you ferret you will find a way to take care of him. It was one of the things you should have though of when getting the pet in the first place. I understand people are sometimes broke but thats where a credit card comes in handy.

WOW thats great giving advice on the internet and possibly causing this person NOT to take it to a vet is intentional neglect. You are just as at fault for this animal's suffering as its owner. Great and its wonderful that the one below you agrees with you, THAT REALLY answers the question asked. I am SICK of everyone asking what should they do and then only do what they want to do. I dont really care if you dont have the money then you and your family should have never gotten a pet. I a very very very sorry for your ferret and the pain and suffering it has to go through because of your inhumanity and the thought that you can become a vet overnight and hurt this animal even more by listening to someone on the internet. Your FERRET has my sympathies only and if you were really scared you would have taken him to a vet. its a shame. I write this because I WORK with Vets and I was an abuse and neglect officer for 9 years. Had I caught wind of what you were doing and what your brother did with his broken leg dog I would have slapped a Neglect and Abuse case on both of you. Your animals would have been confiscated and I wouldnt have worked with you either because you knew it was wrong yet did nothing. I dont really care if the bank was closed the VET takes checks and credit cards. Thats a line of c**p that people say because you are not going to take to a vet period. You are just saying it so people aren't "rude" to you. I was trying to be nice at first but I lost my temper now.

  3. I agree with tama and kara:D

  4. Omg! I hope he will be ok! I'm looking on Google now. I will post anything I find.

    HIND LEG WEAKNESS IN FERRETS

Hind leg weakness, or posterior paresis, is a common condition in ferrets. It can be the result of many different health issues. The most common is a hypoglycemic episode. Ferrets who suffer from insulinoma can have low blood sugar episodes, and they will display hind leg weakness and difficult walking because of it.

Other reasons for hind leg weakness include:

    Heart disease

    Anemia

    Central nervous system conditions

    Advanced adrenal disease

Infections from viruses such as Aleutian Disease virus (ADV) and canine distemper

Signs that your ferret is suffering from hind leg weakness include:

The inability to stand for long periods of time

Standing without the normal arched back

Dragging the rear part of the body while trying to walk

Falling over while trying to walk

    Incontinence

In order to treat the hind leg weakness, your veterinarian must diagnose and treat the disease causing the problem.
