I would just try to relax and on your first day introduce yourself to others, smile. Be yourself....don't change just because you're in a new area. Look into joining a club/sport that you're interested in to make friends that way. Good luck!

just be yourself (hah sounds corny) but really. people who like YOu will want to talk and be friends. if ure putting on some act to get people to like you then youre gonna have to keep that up for as long as your friends with them!
