  1. Some of it is hormonal, but a lot can be decreased by diet.

Eating a bunch of junk foods doesn't help.

Exercise and a good diet will help.

    Here are some good ideas:

    1. Do something that gets your heart rate up a bit like, walking, running, biking, and swimming.

    2. Eat Whole, Organic foods like: Broccoli, Cabbage, Organic Brown Rice, Beans, Spinach, Sweet Potato, Apples, and other fruits and vegetables in their Natural State.

    3. Avoid eating corn, white bread, white rice, white potatoes, candy, sodas, chips, and anything else that you already know you shouldn’t be eating.

    4. Drink clean water as your beverage of choice. Avoid Fruit drinks and fruit juices (unless YOU juice them yourself)

    5. Stop smoking, drinking beer & wine, and drinking coffee.

    6. Get 8 hours of sleep each night.

    7. Hang out with people who want to be healthy.

    8. Avoid anything with High Fructose Corn Syrup.

    9. Look into taking a multi-vitamin.

    Tone up the muscles:

    1. Join a gym and get a trainer.

    2. If you’re short on cash, start a light stretching & yoga regimen.

    3. Do push-ups, and light dumbbell curls for the upper body.

    4. As I said above, walk, run, swim, and or bike

    5. Take an aerobics class, a yoga class, or some other fitness class.

    6. Join the local YMCA.

    7. Buy or borrow this book by Bill Pearl called GETTING STRONGER.

In the book, he describes everything you need for a great fitness plan.

    8. Crunches & Curl ups for the abs.

    Mental Health:

    1. Get a friend to talk to each day about your feelings.

    2. If you have some money or insurance, get a counselor to talk to.

    3. Learn how to meditate.

    4. Join a support group for the issue you’re dealing with.

    5. Ask your Higher Self (or God) for guidance.

    6. Start keeping a diary or journal about your feelings & thoughts.

    7. Write a ‘gratitude’ list every night.

    8. Do something that makes you happy each day like: listen to your favorite music, draw, paint, write, or anything creative.

    9. Do something for someone else who needs help.

    10. If the above suggestions don't improve your mental health, talk with your therapist about the possibility of taking some medication.

    11. Check out the book FEELING GOOD by David Burns.

  2. See a dermatologist. Don't use all of those chemicals on your skin. You are probably making your acne worse.

  3. Do what notyou31 said, See a dermatologist.

  4. The big thing to remember, If you are taking mousture out of your skin you MUST replace it. Over dry skin has just as much (or more) acne as oily skin.

I've been right were you are. I know how much it sucks. I have dealt with acne my whole life. I'm 26 now and I have it under control. I gave up on all the creams, quick fixes and even proscriptions. I use BeautyControl All Clear stuff now. I should use it twice a day but with a family I am lucky if I remember once a day. I have never had anything that worked so well for me (the keyword being 'me'). I found the proactive stuff dried out my skin and the results were not enough to make it worth the discomfort.

BeautyControl is kinda like Avon were you need to find someone to buy from, I just get mine on Ebay though.

  5. Relax and calm down.

It's just your body going through puberty.Everybody gets it.

Try to wash your face about 2-3 times a day to get rid of oils, cleanse every day, don't pick at them, drink LOTS of water, try to avoid junk food and if that doesn't work but some concealer over them but make sure to wash it off at night otherwise it clogs the skin and if they are big a red put a cotton ball in some warm salty water and put a little bit of pressure on the pimple. And one more thing if your pimples get really

bad get your mum to take you to a dermatolagist (skin care expert) and they should give you something to help your pimples clear up.

    Hope This Helps :D

    P.s I hate puberty :P

  6. Try using lavendar essential oil. Avoid sugar and fried foods. Also, get a clorine filter for your shower and wash your face in the shower instead of the sink when possible. Chlorine tends to irritate the skin.

  7. Mom's right again.  Can you find a good cover-up stick?  Try Sally's Beauty Supply.  Just go to school with a big smile on your face and be confident and no one who matters will see or care.  You'll see.  Try to remember that everyone is scared about something.  :)

  8. Relax! Your mom is correct, you'll just have to wait and maintain good hygeine. I had the same problem in high school and even went to see the doctor about it, but he said the same thing. Just don't pop your pimples, that makes things worse.

  9. Okay, seriously? Do not be afraid of zits. They're no big deal at all, m'kay? Relax for a moment.

Combining acne treatments is not a good idea. I suggest oxy-extra strength and a face wash, those two are alright to combine. Just don't combine medications, it might not work as well and can make your skin worse.

It will clear up a bit within two weeks for sure. Don't get impatient and eat less sugary and greasy foods. Also, get a bit of cover-up if it still bothers you.

  10. scared?   because of acne?

wait, wait.. it's acne, that's normal.

wash your face and stop eating garbage foods.

    learn to drink more water.
