IM TRYING TO SAVE ITS LIFE?

my friends duck had babys..and one of them got caught in wire and kinda ripped its chest open.

she was considering it just letting it die but i am willing to take it in for her and help it heal!!

please and thankyou

what could i put on its skin for it to heal?

and should i put a bandage over it?

what r the chances it wil llive?

  1. You need to take it to a small animal vet and they will stitch it up and it will most likely live. If you can't afford that, call a vet and ask them their opinion.

  2. Is it still bleeding? If it is get a wet paper towel or cloth and clean it then then you can wrap it in a towel and take it to the vet. They will probably do surgery or just stitch it up. Then you have to take a chance and see if the mother takes it back. If not then you will have to take care of it and feed it, keep it warm, and get a cage for it.

  3. Your state should have a Department of Natural Resources that can direct you to a nearby wildlife rescue.  They will know how to treat the duck.

  4. Take it to the vet as soon as possible!!!!!!!

    They will perform surgery if they can, if not they will put it down so it doesn't die slowly and painfully.
