Cornerstone of the new Paris Saint-Germain, sporting director Leonardo commands respect. However, many have now put some question marks over his handling of the transfer market. A player agent, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bruno-c8098 Satin gives his analysis of the few gray areas.
Since last summer and following the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 Investment Authority to the club, Paris Saint-Germain have surely entered a new financial dimension. With unlimited funds, PSG became the European champions of the last two transfer windows after spending
107.5 million Euros in total.
However, if there were a good 50 to 60 names linked with the capital club, only three arrived in the winter transfer window. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan respectively.
A man who has been at the heart of transfers is sporting director, Leonardo. The Brazilian is making his network and makes all the final decisions.
While it’s difficult to know about the methods of Leonardo’s recruitment policy, a few interesting elements allow to see things more clearly than before.
Bruno Satin is the global director of IMG that has 25 agents who are dealing with over 200 players around the world. While talking to Sportmag, Satin spoke about the methods Leonardo has so far used to attract players to the Ile club.
Satin says that currently, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928).
“In his career, he met many people, including important agents, he rubbed shoulders with many at Inter. The latter offered him the players as was the case for Maxwell, whose adviser, Mino Raiola is the agent of Balotelli and Ibrahimovic. Leonardo works with
those great players and they are not many.”
However, Satin says that there are few agents who would be looking to offer big players to PSG before indicating that he is not a part of Leonardo’s circle of ‘chosen ones’.
PSG have so far failed to attract big players as was the case this January and Satin’s insight on Leonardo’s recruitment policy has cleared things out a little bit.
