just because things that come from china are cheaper, doesnt mean you should buy them. They have people, working in factories who get paid next to nothing to make all the c**p that comes from there. Also, dont buy apples in summer! You know what they do, they freeze the apples from winter, then thaw tham out and sell tham to you! its so weird! Why waist all that time and energy on apples that tast gross anyway!

  1. what are you willing to pay for apples,

would you pay $10 for one pc

people product is china a cost of living is cheaper,

i wonder what will be the cost of basic products being made in australia,  i bet you can't produce everything yourself,

that is why imports is a business you can't do without,

when austalia is self sufficient, then go ahead and rant all you like,

this is the society we live in, we have no explaination on thing such as what you have said, people don't want to over pay for anything,

  2. I know what you mean. There was a catalogue in our mailbox today from a store and every single item was just cheap junk that no one actually needs. Buying food flown in from overseas is just outrageous environmental terrorism in my opinion.

  3. ohhhhhhh...... why?

  4. people not just from Australia but everywhere boycott China and all its products not just because they are unsafe and toxic but also because of human rights violations and there control over Tibet and Taiwan

  5. I try my best to buy locally.

I don't buy fruit and veg from the supermarket for that reason.

Our greengrocer buys from local producers and you can certainly tell the difference with taste.

I eat a lot of raw vegies especially carrots and can certainly tell fresh from old!

Apples too, I don't buy them from the supermarket, only local.

As far as the not buying things made in China goes, it can be very difficuilt sometimes to find things that aren't made there.

I ALWAYS check the packaging of things I buy to see where it is made, but must admit, I am guilty of buying things from China simply because we don't make everything here.

  6. If they did a better job they'd get paid more.
