Honestly, I think its a load of bull c**p. Its great that Eva Longoria and whoever else got discovered there but did they really need $5000 just to be in that convention? Well my friend recently went and she said that she won 1st place for the singing competition and already got agents calling her. I'm proud of her but I feel like this was the same thing that happened to me when I decided to join John Robert Powers [my position didn't really go anywhere so I decided that place was a scam]. What do you guys thing? Is IMTA a scam?

  1. You shouldn't be paying that much for admission no matter how good it supposedly is.

  2. $5000 is WAY too much money to be paying for admission to anything unless the honoree is Jesus!  Incidentally, modeling is not necesssarily the way into acting and acting classes through John Robert Powers or Casablancas are nothing whatsoever like an acting class at the Neighborhood Playhouse, just so you know.

  3. I know someone who got involved with that. She tried out, and made it through, and asked her acting coach if it was reputable and the coach looked it up and asked around and it isn't. She also knows a friend who modeled for them and said she was ripped off.
