IMages for latin banner?

i'm doing a banner for latin class with the motto

tu ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito

"Yield not to misfortunes, but advance all the more boldly against them "

i'm having trouble finding what to put on this banner to incorporate the elements of this quote into it.

help please! T_T

  1. How about a picture of a lemon on one side of the banner, and a glass or pitcher of lemonade on the other?

    The American version of that latin phrase is "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade".


  2. You might want to check out your motto. That's a negative command, and in Latin you don't use the imperative mood for that. Negative commands (not to do someting) are formed by:

    Noli + infinitive

    Cave + present subjunctive

    Ne + perfect subjunctive

    Check the index in your text for 'negative commands' or 'prohibitions'.
