IN NEED OF COMPUTER GENIOUS PLEASE!?

Question

I was downloading this game for my kid, and in the middle of the download the computer shut down, and restarted itself. When it came back on it went straight into the guest accout. The game had fully downloaded, but ALL OTHER ACCOUNTS ARE GONE. Now im on my guest account and cannot do a d**n thing cause i need to have administrator password, but it doesnt let me type anything in!

I have Toshiba windows Vista.

I dont know what to do.

Looks like you let thieves mess up your computer be careful with what u download. Umm you are gonna have to reboot your computer meaning youre gonna have to re install everything and set it up again

congrats u just downloaded a virus! get your vista cd out and reformat and download the OS. this should take 1-2 hrs. depending on your computer knowledge. good luck.

Not the answer you were looking for but, when ever you download ANYTHING off the net SAVE it first so you can run a scan over it to make sure that the download is clean. Too many people download and run straight into their PC without knowing what they have downloaded. Kind of like a mystery bag with a BAD surprise that you don't want, but you offer your PC to who ever by simply installing any and every thing you download.

Alright first of all never download anything illegally. I bet u downloaded the game from an illegal website or its pirated. When u do download stuff from the internet scan it with a virus scanner before opening. Also keep user account control enabled, it will prevent u from opening files that u do not trust.

It looks like your computer had a hard drive error. Call your computer's tech support number and go over the problem with them.

Boot off the Vista DVD or a Windows Anytime Upgrade DVD (insert the DVD, reboot the computer, and press a key when prompted to boot from CD/DVD). Click "Install Windows". Keep clicking "Next" until you get to the product key screen. Don't enter a product key and click Next; at the next screen, choose any edition from the list and click Next. (It doesn't matter which one, since you're not installing Windows).

Now, press Shift+F10. You should get a command prompt. Type:

c:

cd \windows\system32

ren utilman.exe utilman.old

copy cmd.exe utilman.exe

Remove the Vista DVD and reboot. If you are automatically logged into the guest account, click Start > Log Off. At the login screen, click the accessibility button in the lower left-hand corner. You should get a command prompt. Type:

net user temp001 12345 /add

net localgroup Administrators temp001 /add

shutdown -r

Your computer should reboot, and you should see an account named "temp001" on the login screen. Use the password "12345" to enter it. Go to Control Panel > User Accounts and sort out the problem.

Start your computer and hold on to F8\ Get into safe mode\ Command prompt Type text "control userpasswords2" You can see the admin accounts on your computer, with a guest etc. You will have options there, to reset your password, or even create another account
