is a guy really really likes a girl would he say san or chan? what if a girl really likes a guy what would she call him?(girl is younger boy is older)

From most anime's i have watched. If a boy calls a girl by their first name they like her especially if they use -chan for girls, or don't call them by their first name regurarely. Well that's what I was told or heard. And for girls, well it didn't really matter for them, they say their last name, first name, or -kun, but it was more of a difference of the boy that I have seen.

Chan is for children, san is for adults.  Chan can also be a show of affection for an adult.  Play it safe, use the age appropriate word and judge by her reaction.  Take it slowly, Japanese women don't move as quick as American.
