  1. Yahoo has  3,330,000  listings for Russian adoption agencies, so maybe your adoptive parents would recognize one of the names.

But, it is like the others have said--information about minors is not given out on the internet for their privacy's and safety's sake (you wouldn't believe how many perverts get online and go to chat rooms, etc and pretend to be young teens--or even younger--to lure them into running away, etc. There was a court case that made the national news recently involving a teenage girl and her so-called "friend" she met on a friendship site like My Space, Friendster, etc. It seemed this friend wasn't who he claimed to be and the girl committed suicide because of it.)  I have nothing against My Space or Friendster, I must add, because I have pages on both sites, but I am old enough to know better. This girl I mentioned was only 13 or 14 at the time.

There may have been a reason why you were in this adoption home--anything from the fact your parents could not physically take care of you any longer due to illness, or they were forced into giving you and your sister up for adoption due to family pressures on them, or even possibly that they died (God forbid).  It's like Ernesto said, "You have your parents here"--adoptive, though they may be--and they are your family here. After all, they chose you over and above anyone else. I sincerely hope you can find your sister, however.  Maybe if one of those Yahoo listings is the right one (your adoptive parents should know the name of it since it has only been 4 years), they have information about your sister, too.  Good luck.  =)

  2. Contact the Russian Embassy in Washington, DC. Ask someone to help you find out who your parents are and where you were born. They may be able to help you find records. Or there may be no records. If that is the case, thank God that you have a home in America now and concentrate on making a good future here. Get a good education, get a good job and enjoy life in America.

  3. You have your parents.... and i think they much more related to you than what you looking for

  4. You won't find any information about yourself on the internet for a couple of reasons. First, you're a minor so posting information about kids like that is a huge no-no. It puts you at risk from creeps and pedophiles. Even if you're not afraid of it, no one wants to help any goofballs to find you. Second, you're from Russia...not a country known for being internet-friendly.

You need to find the name of the agency that helped your new parents to adopt you. Write a letter to them with your new parents' signing it, too. Ask them to help you make contact with your birth family and to help you find out about your little sister. There are hundreds of Russian adoptees who have been very successful doing that. Whatever you do, stay off the internet and don't advertise that you're a kid from Russia because kooks around the world will play games with you.

  5. Put your name in and search and you will be surprised what shows up!
