What can I expect the interviews to be like?How long will we have to stay after our appointment?Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  1. What are you going there for?  Are you, or your husband, and illegal alien married to a US citizen who filed to get a green card?

    If yes, you can expect to be rejected and banned from coming back to the USA for 10 years.  The consular officer has no choice.  This is the law.

    After the ban an I-601 needs to be filed.  This is a request for a waiver of inadmissibility.  The request should be based on humanitarian grounds.  Expect it to take 6 months to a year for the I-601 to be processed.
