Ok 5 months ago on March 30 I was playing in a soccer game and i ended up tearing my ACL (ligament in my knee). I had surgery on April 21 and I've been in physical therapy for the past 4 months! Let me tell you it stinks! It is extremely hard for me to not be able to do any form of physical activity. I was involved in club soccer and club volleyball at the time of my injury and i had to sit for the remainder of the season. I became the person who would chase balls and do the stuff no one else wanted to! Its been crazy frustrating and i can't wait till i hit the 8 month period and am back playing the sports i love!

Have u had n e bad experiences like mine?

  1. My husband got injured at work. He ruptured a disc in his lower spine, and had to have surgery to repair it.  He can't do any of the things he used to do anymore.  He can't hunt, can't go out on a boat, can't golf or ride his 4-wheeler. He can't even go bowling or ride roller coasters. It sucks bigtime. He may never be able to do those things again.

Glad to hear you're recovering.  Good luck!

  2. I broke my femur in a football game. The biggest, hardest bone to break in your body and I broke it. I've had 3 surgeries on it and had almost 1 year of physical therapy. The first surgery the surgeon put rods in to keep the bone straight but the rods bent (first time in South Dakota history that it has happened). They then put a plate and 9 screws in and I have since had them removed. I'm the kind of person that is constantly outside and plays like 5 sports. It sucked really bad because I couldn't do anything. I couldn't go outside with friends and play ball or anything. I'm sorry about what happened to you it must really suck but you will eventually heal so just think about the best! Good luck!
