INstalling framework

Question

I been trying to install framework v. 3.5 but it wont let me. It will get through about half of the installation and then give me the dam "Not responding" error. I try to install the 2.0 version but it will say that it is incompatible with the previous versions :-$

How can I completely uninstall framework and reinstall?

Theres something seriously wrong with my framework :-$

I have Windows XP.
