  14. Wat??? Only 6 games have been played so far. Indians never said they gonna win all the man of the match awards.

  15. Yes, it's rather strange and also a bit unfortunate for all of us Indians that it's the Indian Premiere League, still none of our Indian players have been choosen as the man of the match so far. There was a lot of expectation from the players like Dravid, Ganguly, Yuvraj, and Laxman, but their performance wasn't upto the mark. Actually, most of the big stars of the Indian cricket are the captains of their respective franchises, and there is a huge psychological pressure on them, owing to the huge expectations from the common mass. This has probably affected their performance. It's a well known fact that Indians perform poorly whenever the responsibility of acting as a captain is bestowed upon them. The foreign players on the other hand are more relaxed, because they aren't playing for their own countries, so they are more free of psychological burden. Cricket is a mental game in many respects, and forever uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. Still, I hope that our Indian cricketers perform well soon, and earn the man of the match prizes for themselves.

  16. dats life..sometimes u loose some u win...da game da started...so who knows....they might win later

  17. Need to perform better.

  18. A man-of-the-match should be earned and not handed over on the basis that it's an Indian run competition. That shouldn't be seen as an affront to the Indian players but rather something that they can work towards. Let's not forget that some of the teams are fielding inexperienced local county/state players who are not only very young but they will not have the same mental toughness or game as the much more experienced foreign players. And like the poster above (somdyuti) mentioned, a lot of the Indian players are also captains of their teams so the burden of responsibility is different for them, they'll be facing far greater responsibilities than the foreign players so won't be totally relaxed while playing. When the tournament settles down a bit and the Indian players play a bit more freely then I think we'll be seeing them awarded man-of-the-match awards. But not before.
