Next Ipl top players will be getting around 15 million USD.This is what they call as jackpot.Will the top players really be auctioned for 15 million usd ?

That is shame, no player is worth  $15 million for 6 weeks.

I think the cap on the player is better for the franchises rather than without cap. If there is no cap, then i hope it will not reach $15m.

Around next time the franchises will have a serious look in the auction. Now itself, some franchises are realising that their player is not worth the money. For eg, Banglore have so many players not proving their money placed on them or in other words not worth their money, not to mention their Icon player.  The franchise owner is already send the signal by sacking the CEO and he publicly criticised the selection of the players in the auction. And i dont think next time he will let others in the auction.

Other franchises too, murmuring about their player's worth, take Hyderabad Deccan Chargers. Thankfully, Laxman declined the Icon Status offer (As read in the papers) and they have saved some amount in their kitty. Things are being like this and every franchises are started checking their balance sheet.

Kolkatta Knight Riders team management already started sending their non-contracted players saying they dont need them this season. So, it seems already repairing work has been started for the damage done.

Only team, which would be happier will be Rajasthan Royals since the amount they invested is lesser than all the franchises and they are yielding good results with both the international and local players.

So, the franchises will certainly think of going for a $15m bid for a single player.
