IPL 4 - Mumbai Indians v Deccan Chargers - Match Preview
Mumbai Indians will collide against the Deccan chargers today, 24 April, 2011, in the 4th edition of the cash rich Indian premier league (IPL).
Hyderabad will host this epic encounter between the two franchises of the Indian premier league.
So far the IPL journey for the Mumbai Indians has been a pleasant one as they are currently on top of the table with four wins out of their five matches.
The Mumbai Indians are blessed with a formidable lineup with Sachin Tendulkar at the helm of affairs, they not only enjoy a devastating batting attack but their recent fielding performance against the Chennai super Kings was applauded and was definitely
one of the more finer ones in the IPL so far.
The Mumbai side boasts the likes of Andrew Symonds, Kieron Pollard, Rohit Sharma and R Sathish.
Symonds, Pollard and Sharma are well capable of devastating any bowling line up.
Former Aussie all-rounder, Symonds is known for his aggressive, hard hitting style, his Twenty20 International (T20I) average is an impressive 48.14, proof of his ability to build towards high scores.
Bowlers in Pollard’s stride feel insecure as the youngster from Caribbean has the ability to hit the ball away at will. The Mumbai batting lineup is very potent, especially when the Master Blaster, Sachin himself leads the team from the front.
The http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 side has a fairly strong bowling line-up in the form of Harbhajan Singh, Munaf Patel and Lasith Malinga, however, with Munaf bowling as a medium-pacer, the pressure falls on Malinga’s shoulders.
The Deccan Chargers are near the bottom of the table with only two wins out of their five matches.
Deccan lost their first three matches but the last two consecutive wins would have boosted their confidence, they will be coming into this match, hoping to extend the winning streak.
For the Deccan Chargers, the biggest moment of all was when they broke the curse of not winning a single game at home in the previous three editions of IPL.
On 14 April, 2011, Deccan managed their first home win against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The Deccan fans are expecting a lot from the chargers now and are looking forward to their team winning again.
Sachin’s memories of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 but sill maestro’s side ended up losing the match.
Deccan chargers have strong players such as Kumar Sangakkara, Steyn and Sohal, the side seems competitive but in comparison to the Mumbai Indians, Deccan is the weaker side.
Mumbai will be looking to stay on the top of the table while the Deccan chargers will be trying for a better place than they already hold.
It remains to be seen whether the Mumbai Indians will present a win to Sachin Tendulkar for turning 38 recently or will the Deccan Chargers spoil the party for them.
